Playmat Size Guide for Massachusetts Players
Every measurement below is the finished mat you receive, in inches and millimetres, with the artwork size you need for a sharp print. Written for players and game stores across Massachusetts (MA), from Boston to Cambridge.

Playmat sizes and measurements
Sizes are measured at the trim line. Artwork should be supplied at the bleed size so the print runs past the cut on all four sides.

Standard - 24" x 14"
The tournament default. Fits a play area, deck, graveyard and dice inside the space a single player is given at an event table.
2 Player - 24" x 28"
One shared mat covering both sides of the table. Popular for shop demo tables, streaming setups and playing at home.
XL Table - 36" x 16"
Extra width for Commander sprawl, token piles and a dice tray beside the battlefield.
Battle Mat - 48" x 24"
Table-covering mat for multiplayer pods, miniatures crossover and event stages.
Thickness
- 2 mm
The standard. Rolls tight for transport and still stops cards sliding on a hard table.
- 3 mm
Noticeably softer under the hand. The best pick if you shuffle and pick up cards off the mat all night.
- 4 mm
Thickest cushion, flattest lay. Best for a mat that lives on one table rather than in a bag.
Edge finish
- No stitching
Cleanest look, lowest profile. The edge is heat-sealed rather than sewn.
- Black stitching
A sewn black border that frames the art and protects the edge from fraying.
- Print-over stitching
Most popular. Stitched for durability with the artwork printed across the stitch line so no border interrupts the design.
Getting the artwork right
Aim for 300 DPI
A Standard mat wants roughly 7,632 x 4,452 px. Anything above 150 DPI still prints well; below that, fine linework starts to soften.
Keep 3% clear on each side
That outer band is the bleed and gets trimmed off. Keep logos, names and card zone markings inside the safe area shown in the designer.

PNG or high-quality JPG straight from the source beats a screenshot or a social media download. We check every file before printing and tell you if it will not hold up.
